I understand your sentiment because I was hugely upset by the whole Jark fiasco as well...and ideally dA would be run by groups of artists, strictly for the artists, but unfortunately the world around us doesn't look fondly upon those types of things.
Our society as a whole sees companies and people as being valued by the amount of money they earn, to judge how "great" they are. And it's sad, but i think it's because of that, that dA needs a business mind behind it to keep it a successful website with an ever increasing user base.
Hey! I am! I take it by your profile that you are too- small world indeed I too used to live in the Adelaide Hills, in Hahndorf in fact.

I agree wholeheartedly. When it all happened I was really upset, but now I see that a business is a business and indeed it's not all evil, and we reap wonderful rewards from DA being competitive.

The scary part is there is a whole "new" generation here on DA who has no idea about the Jark-situation and the <insert nasty word of choice> way it got handled. That bugs me almost as much as $spyed in general does. I am not sure DA evolved for the better.
So how does it feel to be settled again down-under? Cravings for odd Swedish dishes and traditions? Midsommar is coming up

I'm settled at the moment, but just about to come back to Sweden in 5 weeks! Nervous!! I have a neat job lined up though, and looking forward to the Swedish summer!
I don't really like Swedish food, but I'm sure I'll learn to love it I also need to learn to speak Swedish... hmm
